Gentle, lyrical, and evocative portraits of our green and pleasant land, in music that is both pastoral and joyous. Music by the great British composers Malcolm Arnold, George Butterworth, Gustav Holst, Herbert Howells, Vaughan Williams plus a visitor from down under, Percy Grainger.

Meet the Host, Freddy

Born in Manchester 1956, Freddy has worked in education for over 30 years and as a public speaker/freelance educator for 11 years. He is passionate about his history subject and has a personal family input which puts a unique spin on the topic of The Holocaust and Antisemitism.
He also has a passion for music, and has worked in music education for over 30 years alongside being an orchestral percussionist and composer with several new works created over the past few years. He has a wealth of knowledge about all periods of classical music.
