Sunday Tea at Grandma's

Talks - General Interest

Event Description

Sunday tea was traditionally taken at Grandma's house. The best china and finest table linen would be brought out and generally the same food served for our enjoyment...along with a good strong brew. Please join us for Sunday tea with your favourite china cup and saucer to hand...we won't ask if the cup contains tea or a drop of the hard stuff!

Kath Reynolds

Meet The Speaker, Kath

Kath's library role allowed her the opportunity to develop her passion for reminiscence work. Together with a colleague from Stoke-on-Trent Museums, she wrote an OCN accredited course, "Delivering Reminiscence". This course was very successful and she delivered it for more than six years. She describes herself as "keenly interested in people; their lives and their communities". Her talks and reminiscence sessions reflect a great many years of collecting stories, memories and musings from the people of Staffordshire and surrounding counties. She is always vigilant to research and verify "facts" - although she often share the "facts" which are clearly fiction... purely because they are entertaining!

Preparing for the Event

For the best experience, you will need to have Zoom downloaded onto your computer. Please ensure you're connected to broadband/wifi rather than using your mobile phone connection (3G/4G).

We also recommend that pets are either calmly sitting on your lap or in another room, and any refreshments you may require are within your reach!
