Event Description

Join Helen Tudge ( MCSP ) for an online pilates class. This class is predominantly seated with a few optional standing movements.

This class gives all the benefits of Pilates without having to get down to the floor. Join Helen Tudge (MCSP) for a whole body workout, including strengthening and flexibility with particular emphasis on postural exercises.

This class will be 45 minutes long.

  • Join as an individual or book for private groups up to 60

Meet the Host, Helen

Helen is a chartered physiotherapist with over 30 years experience in Physiotherapy, and has been a Pilates instructor for the past 10 years. Having worked in orthopaedics and an NHS Back Pain clinic, she is passionate about the importance of maintaining muscle strength and joint mobility to avoid back pain and joint damage. She is a keen cyclist, runner and allotment holder who loves supporting her clients to stay active and enjoy their hobbies, whatever they may be.

Preparing for the Event

Equipment: You will need a dining style chair, comfortable clothing you can move in and footwear as we will be doing standing postures and a normal sized paperback book (to use as a prop for assistance).

    An excellent class. Helen is a terrific teacher and you feel as though you are part of a real class with other people. The exercises are well explained and demonstrated and safety is paramount. The length and timing are just right too and after class I feel taller and more supple than before. I shall definitely be joining again. Thank you.

    A gentle stretching session I did Pilates some years ago and Yoga too. Before the Pandemic, I went to a variety of classes- Easyline gym, Hydrotherapy, Tai Chi and Aqua. With these stopping, I still gardened and took up walking in my Local Country Park using Nordic poles. However, I felt I needed a stretching exercise and seated Pilates is just the thing. Helen shows you her posture for the exercises and I follow- but not push my body. The pace and range of exercises makes me feel good. This is a lovely session for getting back a toned body working to your limits.

    Thoroughly enjoyed this (and last week's session). Helen's a very good teacher, very clear instructions and good pace of delivery.
