Has science and technology got it all worked out, or are there aspects of our human existence, environment and experience about which boffins and psychologists are still pretty clueless?
For example: Why do some beetles have an integral satnav system? Why do we fall in love ... and then out of it again? Could you be swallowed by a whale and survive? Would the PM’s hair settle down if he focused on paternity instead of politics?
Andy Smith offers a tentative response to such questions in this poetic presentation ... and comes to very few definite conclusions.

Meet the Host, Andy
Andy Smith is a performance poet, author and former business communicator who has two artificial limbs, three fine children, a whippet called Tamba and a tabby called Toby. (He also had two feisty chickens until ‘Basil Brush’ made their acquaintance). Andy engages live and digital audiences with his poetry, humour and a smattering of history ... and once a year, the bionic bard and his long-suffering wife make a trip to West Africa to support and encourage victims of trauma.
Preparing for the Event
For the best experience, you will need to have Zoom downloaded onto your computer. Please ensure you're connected to broadband/wifi rather than using your mobile phone connection (3G/4G).
We also recommend that pets are either calmly sitting on your lap or in another room, and any refreshments you may require are within your reach!
