There is no finer county in which to study churches. Today you can visit over 650 in close proximity, reflecting the dense population enjoyed by the county in the medieval period. Here, John looks at small details in the churches that you could easily miss as a casual visitor. Medieval stained glass, wall paintings, carvings, and monuments are brought to life. John has been leading tours of Norfolk churches for over 40 years, is a member of the Advisory Council of The Norfolk Churches Trust, and is the author of `Norfolk Churches` (2021).
