Hot Jazz, Hoods and Hooch

Talks - Musical Entertainment

Event Description

Let us revisit the songs and music from the age of American Prohibition! These could be dangerous times for entertainers as well as for mobsters. We bring you tales of jazz musicians and gangsters, including a kidnap at gunpoint and Al Capone’s birthday party. For a classy touch of nostalgia, let Sun Jester entertain you with Bronwen’s fabulous singing, Graham’s anecdotes and a working 1934 wind-up gramophone.

  • Duration: 45 mins
  • Online Zoom Event: An event held in person
  • Join as an individual or book for private groups up to 45

Preparing for the Event

For the best experience, you will need to have Zoom downloaded onto your computer. Please ensure you're connected to broadband/wifi rather than using your mobile phone connection (3G/4G).
