Eva Braun - Victim or Contriver

Talks - History; Talks - Biography; Talks - General Interest

Event Description

Melanie tells the story of the woman who devoted her life to Hitler in a talk sensitively presented in order to appeal to a wide audience. Melanie’s years of interest in Eva began on seeing Eva alongside Hitler in cine-film on ‘The World at War’ television programme in 1973. Though no voting is required, while listening to the talk the audience will be asked to consider whether Eva was a victim or a contriver in her story.

Meet The Speaker, Melanie

From being an enjoyable part-time ‘hobby’ the repeat bookings for Melanie Gibson-Barton's talks grew to such an extent that she gave up her 'day job' to become a full-time speaker. Many of her talks have been commissioned by previous audiences for commemorative occasions.

Preparing for the Event

For the best experience, you will need to have Zoom downloaded onto your computer. Please ensure you're connected to broadband/wifi rather than using your mobile phone connection (3G/4G).

We also recommend that pets are either calmly sitting on your lap or in another room, and any refreshments you may require are within your reach!
