An amusing look at some aspects of Kent history including follies, churches, and monuments. The one thing each subject has in common is that it is out of the ordinary. How about the man who built a tower because his wife left him? Or a machine to restore `those apparently drowned? We discover the statue of a wildly eccentric man, an unused burial place, and an ingenious way to use barrels of cement! If you think you know Kent, be prepared to think again. John`s book 'Kent Curiosities` sold over 130,000 copies.
