Reviewing Chinese, Japanese and Islamic gardens from his own personal experience, some of the principles underlying these oriental gardens-Taoism and Feng Shui are briefly reviewed. The speaker explains how he has attempted to create the peace, tranquillity, balance and harmony in his own garden that can only be achieved by working with Nature.

Meet the Host, Alan
With specific interests in gardening and travel, Alan is a popular speaker on both subjects. Alongside public speaking he is Vice President of the Tibet Society and Relief Fund working on charity projects in India, and having always been a keen gardener, he developed the very popular attraction Cascades Gardens; a Meditation garden in Bonsall, Matlock, Derbyshire.
