Beginning in the Stone Age, this exciting, fast-paced talk reveals the hundred most important and influential IDEAS, in the history of warfare. Of course many of these brainwaves, innovations and inventions were military in nature – for example, the chariot and the crossbow – but many others were not: how about the lever escapement, or the stirrup? With only a minute or so to spare for each idea on the list, the pace is swift! The two parts of this talk follow in sequence, with Part One dealing with Ideas 1-50, and Part Two dealing with Ideas 51-100
