As an ex-pat Manxman, Vic knows the island well. Sitting in the Irish Sea, the island is not part of the United Kingdom and has its own Parliament and laws, and is famous for its cats with no tails, motorcycle racing, the Laxey Wheel, its various railway systems, and much more.
Vic explains the geography of the island, covers some of the financial advantages of the island and offers an overview of life living separately from ‘that other island’.

Meet the Host, Vic Quayle
Originally born in the Isle of Man Vic became an environmental health officer for twenty years before starting his own publishing and consultancy company. This led to a chance to enjoy his passion for car rallying and either as a driver, marshal, or official it is a sport that has taken him across the world.
On a rally in South America he won a Gold Medal, and after a year in the Outback of Australia he wrote a book about each of these adventures.
Subsequently he has researched and written a book about a little known aspect of the life of the well-known racing driver Stirling Moss. Moss was also a very competent rally driver taking part in all the major rallies in a variety of cars, as often as not being on the podium at the end. On one event he nearly died when on a rally across the Sahara Desert.
