I’m glad I found you. I said this to my wife - without Mirthy, my life would be far less richer than it is now.

Event Description

Ever dreamt of playing piano, but think it is too difficult or that you are too old? Not any longer! The ground-breaking new ‘DecPlay’ method removes the traditional barriers, making it easy to learn piano later in life.

Join DecPlay founder for an online workshop, where he explains everything you need to know to be able to play your first song on piano. This includes how to get an affordable keyboard and how to use the ingeniously simple method which has been featured on the BBC and has helped over 3,000 people to learn piano, including absolute beginners aged 50 to 90+.

You don’t need a keyboard, just sit back and listen as Declan shows you the simple steps that make playing songs on piano incredibly easy, fast and fun.

  • Duration: 60 mins
  • Online Zoom event: Join from your computer, phone or tablet (a recording will be available)

Meet the Host, Declan Cosgrove

Declan is a Manchester born musician who spent 10 years struggling with traditional music lessons, until he discovered a new way to play songs on piano, used by Paul McCartney, which doesn’t involve ‘reading music’. Fuelled by a desire to make piano more accessible for others, he spent several years translating this method into a language absolute beginners can instantly understand and developing extra techniques to make piano easily accessible for older students. This new DecPlay method is so effective, it has been awarded a patent. Declan has now helped thousands of students learn piano, from beginners to Oscar winning musicians and has been featured on BBC.

Preparing for the Event

For the best experience, you will need to have Zoom downloaded onto your computer. Please ensure you're connected to broadband/wifi rather than using your mobile phone connection (3G/4G).

We also recommend that pets are either calmly sitting on your lap or in another room, and any refreshments you may require are within your reach!
