Event Description
South America's undiscovered secret and the only English speaking country in South America. This is a little visited country so often overlooked by the more popular destinations. A trip involving some intrepid travel up river, staying at rustic lodges, close encounters with some interesting wildlife, and a chance to discover something of the culture of this fascinating country. Certainly not a trip for those who like 5-star luxury!

Meet the Host, Sue
Sue Ablett is a great traveller, having visited all continents and loves talking about her trips. Her career included a mix of jobs, from Russian Linguist to Executive Director of a national children’s cancer charity, pulling in a PhD ‘just for fun’ along the way. Now retired she is Chair of Evesham Festival of Words, an avid litter picker, and, despite the advanced years, still a keen distance runner. She also enjoys cycling, dog walking, gardening and splits her life between Leicestershire and Evesham.
Preparing for the Event
For the best experience, you will need to have Zoom downloaded onto your computer. Please ensure you're connected to broadband/wifi rather than using your mobile phone connection (3G/4G).
We also recommend that pets are either calmly sitting on your lap or in another room, and any refreshments you may require are within your reach!

What if I can’t make the event?
If a recording’s available for the event, you can still register for it and we will send you an email with a link to a recording shortly after it ends.
Will my camera be on and will I be visible to the other people?
Your camera and microphone does not need to be on for you to enjoy your Mirthy event. The choice about whether to do this is completely yours.
How do I watch the live event?
